    Welcome Squad
I was just wondering what makes someone eligible for a foundation year in general- I think it depends on the area the person lives in/ school. I'm not planning on applying for one, I'm just interested in what makes one person eligible to apply/ another not eligible.

    - The area you live in, (the deprivation) universities have a post code tool to assess this
    - The school you went to should be a non selective state school
    - Parents house hold income should be below a certain amount
    - Income support/JSK etc
    - in receipt of 16-19 bursary
-in receipt of free school meals
    - have been in local authority care
    -first generation applying to HE

The universities may state which ones are essential
    These are the typical criteria
