Hi Everyone,
On Friday 11 September, MPs will discuss the Representation of the People (Young Persons’ Enfranchisement and Education) Bill.
This Bill proposes to reduce the voting age to 16 in general elections, elections to the Scottish Parliament, the National Assembly for Wales, the Northern Ireland Assembly and the European Parliament, local government elections and referendums; to make provision about young people’s education in citizenship and the constitution; and for connected purposes.
This Bill has been sponsored by Vicky Foxcroft MP.

MPs are scheduled to debate the Representation of the People (Young Persons’ Enfranchisement and Education) Bill. This debate will follow the Assisted Dying (No. 2) Bill.
If the debate on the Assisted Dying (No. 2) Bill is not finished by 2.30 then the debate for the Representation of the People (Young Person's Enfranchisement and Education) Bill will be rescheduled.
