I've been thinking recently about joining the Royal Navy Reserves but I am still unsure on what I shod do. I am going to start university in September 2015 and I'm just not sure. I feel like it would be a great experience but I just feel as though I'm not 'cut-out' for it!

Is there anyone who has already took the plunge and just went for it? And what has your experience been like?

    URNU or actual Reserves?

    If the latter, don't.
    If the former, do.

The URNU is there for exactly that reason, to give you a taste of the life, to allow you to see if it's for you but, crucially, to do so alongside your course.

Find out if your uni has an affiliated unit (it almost definitely will) and go suss them out during Freshers.
