Hey everyone,My top 3 as grades were AAA (maths, chem, physics) and I recently found out my predictions of AAA. I was quite disappointed as I didn't receive an A* prediction in Maths even though I averaged 90% in the core as modules. My ideal course wants AAA however I am worried that a lot of people will apply with A*AA or higher meaning I risk not being accepted. Do you think I should apply or should I apply for lower entry courses? Thanks

If you don't apply for AAA courses then you'll definitely never get in! Don't let your schools option of you affect which unis you apply for, in my experience schools are quite rubbish at predicted grades also couldn't you ask you teachers to change your predicted grade? I know my teachers have said they would be willing to increase our predicted grades by a grade or so if we need it to apply for uni, and then it just down to us if our offer means we need to get those grades.

Many schools have a policy of not predicting A* and universities are aware of this. Apply to a couple as your high risk options. Contact those you are interested in and ask what their position is.
