# LAck of P1 revision watch

1. Hi
As I havent done any P1 revsision could sum1 pls tell me the bits they find hardest so that I can reassure myself that I can do it all?
2. It was pretty hard to entertain myself in the 45 minutes I had spare at the end.

hi, good luck in your P1 exam whenever it is - when i did P1 i always found co-ordinate geometry a little toughy

i would have had a similar experience in da mock had we not finished after 40 mins

there isnt a hard bit - just remember all the formulas
8. just cos nothing cropped up doesnt mean that i can do it all perfectly...did u get 100 then?
9. Check mistakes, usualy stuff. If you can do P2 and P3, you will be able to do P1. Try doing a past paper before the test as it is afternoon though...

Its before P3 so I doubt I'll be too bothered with P1 papers at that point!!!
11. For me the hardest bit was remembering how to prove the sum of the first terms for both AP and GP's. Also I think you need to know how to prove sqaureroot over 2 is irrational.

proving root2 is irrational is in P3 and anyway, it's easy.

root2 = p/q in lowest form where P and Q are integers
2 = p^2/q^2
2q^2 = P^2 therefore P^2 is even => P is even
q^2 = p^2/2 = p*p/2. P is even and p/2 is odd or even. odd*even or even*even = even therefore q^2 is even
p/q is not lowest form therefore root2 is irrational.
