    Hi,

Finally leaving years of slow windows computers and buying a Mac for uni. I only have £500 to toy about with and im buying a refurbished model. I have narrowed it down to these two. Which should I go for?

The first one is 1.7ghrz and comes with a years warranty but its 2011, the second one is only 1.3 ghrz but is 2013. Both have SSD.

I'd personally go for the 2013 macbook too. I have a Macbook Pro Retina and it's a late 2013/early 2014 model.

If you can, I'd really suggest the extra £99 over your budget and take a look at something like this.

Twice as much RAM and a nice i5 2.5GHz processor. Coupled with a 500gb HDD and you've got a lot more room to play with too
