    By the OP's original statement, I can infer that he means to imply that the Japanese are wrong/"crazy" to sell live crabs, and is hence saying that while people try to say everyone is the same (same blood colour), the Japanese are different to other cultures

    lol I was beat to the answer, but I did know what OP meant.

    TBF though if you'\re picking up on Japan selling live crabs in vending machines, I'd be more concerned about China selling live turtles inside plastic keychains which suffocate in a few days.

    So? How is this any different from selling live lobsters at a fish market and then boiling them? Just seems more convenient in vending machine form.

    Actually, I've looked this up, and this seems to be a Chinese thing rather than a Japanese one.
