    Hi,

I'm going into my final year at uni studying digital film and am trying to figure out my dissertation before I return in the next few weeks, but I'm having a hard time and getting very stressed about it. I know getting stressed doesn't help though...

I was thinking of doing something that discusses the journey between books to film to other related items such as merchandise, websites and theme parks, i.e. talking about the total work of art. Things that could be discussed could be the immersion aspect of things or whether it's taking some of the imagination away, having so much physically available etc.

I'm completely lost on where to find helpful sources and reading material for this sort of dissertation though. Does anyone have any helpful advice or know of any similar dissertations?

    Many thanks for any help!

I wrote about this in my MA, specifically about novelizations. I could look it up for you so you can check out the bibliography.

Also, read Jameson's Signatures of the Visible and Kristeva's Powers of Horror. They'll give you some perspectives that you won't find anywhere else for this topic.
