What do u do with ur gf/bf?

What do you guys or gurls do with your partners to keep the love between you going strong? It can be really wacky, normal, downright weird - but it should be something that you can both share/spend time together doing. I don't mean in the trouser dept. but like, places you go to, activities you do together, as I need inspiration as I reckon my ideas can be pretty dull..

erm..dont really do anything specific. but i know what you mean, at the moment me and my guy spend alot of time alone together and hang out with our seperate friends (except a few occasions) which i get upset about sometimes because its not like i dont know his friends, but i guess he likes acting laddish in front of his mates and more romantic alone with me (like i said except the few times we have been out together to clubs/pubs , which was really fun)

I think im gonna talk to him about this and if we hang out around other people more i think the relationship will never get too boring.

We've never really had the love die between us, i have to go home in the holidays, but we visit each other as often as possible so we each plan stuff to do in our areas for instance i live in somerset so i take him to some of our landmarks, places like Stourhead or Clarks Village and when i come down to Plymouth he has taken me to places like Paignton Zoo and Babbacombe Model Village. Sometimes we just like to hang out and spend time together doing nothing, just the presence of the other person is enough. He especially likes to go hippy spotting and hemp shopping in Glastonbury, i love Glastonbury, it rocks, i'm talking about the town not the festival.

What's wrong with going to the trouser department in Primark/M&S/Topshop/etc.? :s-smilie:

If you want something different, why not go out for the day somewhere? You can jump on a coach or local trains fairly cheaply, grab a picnic basket and spend the day in a quaint town like Ilkley. Have lunch by the river, go for a romantic stroll, get ice creams... dead fun! If you like that sort of thing.

Or say you tend to go out for posh meals on dates - why not try a good quality greasy spoon cafe for a breakfast date? There's loads of things to try if you put your mind to it which are out of the ordinary and certainly not boring!

I prefer simplicity. Nothing can be dull if you're with someone you care about.
- A walk around the park.
- Cooking dinner together
- We meet each other at the bus stop after college/work & travel home together
Just nothing extravagent.

or you could make stuffonmygirlfriend.com (I hope this isn't a real site) in the style of stuffonmycat.com

hmm, we never have to think about it much, we both just love getting out and doing stuff, visiting places. esp if they involve food. we're both great fans of public transport: we've been on lots of mini holidays where we just jump on a train, then get a bus to some remote location, like norfolk.
not much time for it atm tho: both studying for finals. but planning to go to Granada sometime soon, yayness

The random holidays sound romantic. I'd like to do something spontaneous like that. Perhaps print out a list of towns in the UK, close my eyes, stick my finger on one and then go there. Might sound like a waste of time to some, but I think it broadens the old horizons. A bit unfortunate if you select Cornwall and you live in Glasgow though.

When we're at home we cook together, read in bed before we go to...erm...sleep  , if we both have work to do for uni then we'll do it in the same room...that kind of thing.

When we go out, we'll go out for dinner, go to museums, go shopping, go to concerts, and last time I stayed we went to an aquarium  We visit one another's families too (he has really cute baby cousins who are fun to play with :p: ).

we play world of warcraft together while eating pizza mostly, or if its a really special occasion we play world of warcraft while eating steak

We watch Smallville and the Sopranos, play Bejewelled 2 against each other, go to the cinemas, go to see his cousin's baby, go bowling, drinking, fun fairs....

I think it is the small thoughtful things that keep a relationship going.

Another important factor is giving each other space.

This doesn't quite apply to me, but me and my best guy mate go on day trips (zoo's, beach etc.) We go on long countryside drives and talk. We go for lunch, even if it just chips from the local chippy. We go for weekends away which I call "mini-breaks" he calls "when we went to the place". We go for dinner round each others houses. We help each other with college work. Watch TV together. When I put it all like that ... We do sound almost an item

Think the OP means trouser department as in sex/any physical stuff as opposed to the trouser section in shops lol
