I've just stared year 12, at the moment I am doing sociology, psychology, business and spanish. But I'm considering swapping sociology to history but I can't decide. Which one would you say is better as I am not going to uni I'm going to get a job after A Levels and which one is easier?

Sociology is easier, I did both in GCSE and got a higher grade in History. But I'm gonna stick with Sociology A-levels since it may be easier for me to get an A in.

Sociology is easy (and soft), History is hard (and respected).

Don't just do it because you hear it's "softer". Yes Sociology is softer and history is harder but do the one you have more interest in so you can obtain the best A level grade in. I'd rather have an A in Sociology than a B in History.

Sociology, definitely I'm very biased, but I did it at AS last year and absolutely loved it. It is also arguably easier than History BUT I did find it hard and all A-Levels (except GS) are hard otherwise they wouldn't BE A-Levels. Which exam board are you doing for Sociology and Psychology? I got an A for Soc and a B for Psychology, love them both!

I think its AQA, I found History GCSE hard to keep up with I got an E in my mock but a B in the actual GCSE, I just think sociology might get confusing with psychology.

Hiya I have A* quality essay responses/ summary notes on A-level sociology, based on the exam board OCR. I also have the same for alevel history (Edexcel). Received an A* for a level sociology and history. Also, these essays have helped loads of students previously. I can send free preview pages if you’d like, you can reply with your email adress x
