Awkward silences- is this normal??

well i've been going out with my bf for nearly 3 months now & i'm quite happy with him in general (we go out, do normal couple stuff) except there tends to be a lot of silences when we're together. sometimes we just run out of things to talk about which a lot of couples/friends do but i'm upset that their not 'comfortable' silences & i can tell he feels nervous & under pressure to think of something new to talk about. i feel a bit stupid for posting this but it really is getting me down coz after 3 months you'd think we would be comfortable with eachother.

maybe if you're not comfortable with him you should think about splitting up...
when an awkward silence comes up just kiss him

Don't worry, silence doesn't have to be awkward. Not talking doesn't mean you're not right for each other. Next time you both fall silent, use body language; give him a lingering look, smile suggestively, etc. And kiss him, as HeStoleMyCrayon wisely suggested.

I worry sometimes that girls think my projected silence (sometimes quite vocal) is an awkward one, but the fact is - sometimes I just like to sit and contemplate.

Silence may just mean he's comfortable in your company.

Me and my boyfriend have been going out for a year n 4 mnths next week n evn we have lil silent moments but it dnt mean it has to be awkward. wen we go silent we jus cudle up n think to ourselves. it also mite help him not feel like he has to say anything if u us cuddle him. actions speak more then words n it'll comfort him.
