So I've been single for a few months now. I feel a little more ready to try dating again. I'm a little nervous though, I haven't been on a date in 3 years and that's when I was at Uni.

Just wondering what post uni dating tips do people have?

I would just say that you should be yourself when you go on your date. Regardless of whether you are dating during uni or after, at the end of the day its just a date and it is not the end of the world if anything goes wrong.

Sometimes when people are nervous on dates, they might tend to ramble on about themselves so maybe avoid doing this.
Find common interests by asking questions and then you can build a conversation on particular topics.

Go for a more active date so maybe like walking in parks, bowling, rollerskating/iceskating. This way doing things that are active gives you less time to think about how nervous you are and you can actually engage with the person you are on a date with.

    Hope this helps

I'm just mentioning uni because you are thrown in with other people your age, so it's rather easy to meet people of a similar age, hobbies and upbringing.. After uni I assume there is less social opportunities. Maybe??

I found work, new friends and keeping in touch with a few uni friends a better environment for dating. Work related self esteem, money, better accommodation and holidays help. Get out and about, network with friends, dress well, be vibrant and you will be a man magnet.
