Browny
wat percentage do u need 2 get a grade B in Intermediate Maths

22.5%

this has been asked about 102938462736 times before (last time I counted) about every possible subject and NOONE knows how much you need to get because it changes from year to year. Even the examiners do not know because they haven't yet marked the samples to see where the grade boundary will be.

Im predicted a B. I think that paper was quite difficult so the exam board may make the calc paper next week a bit easier for the grades to be more achievable.

in year 10 we were given an intermediate paper for maths for the whole gcse including year 11. I got 76% It was B. as far as i no 60% and aboce is B

Reply 6

I am doin the Edexcel syllabus!!!!

i reckon i will get a B!!!

Reply 7

I tought you had to get about 3/4 of the exam right or higher for a definite B

Did coursework ever count to much?

Reply 8

I fink it does cuz my Maths teacher sed that you need around 60-70% to get a grade B!!!

I fink i hav dun quite well in my coursework (i wasn't in wen they announced the results in the courseoworks!!!)

For GCSE in my mock exam i did crap! I think i got D, but in the actual exam i ended up getting a B, it took me two months to go up two grades, which i was pretty pleased about

Reply 10

A D is gud in the mock, i got the second highest mark in Maths (42% D but 1% off a C)

Reply 11

Maths isn't my strongest point, lol
so i was just happy to get a C or above
if you were one mark of a C in the mock then i think you will most definately get at least a C in the actual exam, if coursework counts for anything...

I know, but i did this stupid mistake in the mock which i regretted a lot, it was a table and we had 2 find the mean and u know wat i did i added all of the results together and divided by how many columns (sp?)!!!!

I was soooo stupid!!!!!

In the exam, there was loadsssssss of algebric equations which i am really gud at (factorising, expand and simplify etc!!!!) I was soooooo chuffed wen there was loadsssss of them!!!!

Edexcel Maths A

MAXIMUM UMS (600)
A* - 540
A 480
B 420
C 360
D 300
:: Each exam contributing a max of 240 and the coursework totalling 120 ::

Browny to answer your question: No-one can be 100% sure as pointed out by Yannis, but as can be seen from the boundaries above, they seem to be analogous every year. So I assume you need 70% for a B.
