Applying for student finance again this year, and a little confused over part time entitlements and what has happened in previous years.

I started my course in 2012, but in the second and third years the combined subject had too many timetable clashes so i decided to postpone 40 credits from each year. This happened after the start of the year both times starting on a full time course.

For these two years i recieved a maintenance loan. Yet now I'm only now being told that part time students are not applicable for maintenance loans. It was not a case of one application and not telling them course changed, I actually resent details after this because entitlements changed anyway, and checking it through they'd reduced the tuition fee so all was fine at the time.

I'm now in my 4th year, so applied for 'part-time' from the start. SFE seemed to question whether I was part-time and are now supposed to be contacting my university to confirm.

-so am I actually part-time? I take 80 credits of a BA course years 2-4, but full 120 credits in year 1.*
-Am I definitely entitled to no maintenance if so?
-would i need to pay back previous years?

*Bath Spa guide tells me part-time is up to 80 credits per year, but do not know if it is across all years. If it is then I average more than 80 credits. The guide also says 5+years part time so maybe i'm onto something here and just shouldn't have applied to SFE on part-time application.

Hope there's an answer, as I sit here paying rent (and a car!) in a new place wondering if the worst situation is being 14000 in debt AND recieving nothing.
Google is telling me conflicting things about part time entitlement and how many credits count as part-time.
