Basically, I had one piece of coursework due in tomorrow and two for next friday, however, I've been granted an extension of one week on all three of them on medical grounds... meaning my tomorrow's one is in for next week, and the other two are due a week later.
I was advised by my year tutor to hand in a "special situations" form, which if accepted, will mean that if I need to, I can resit them as a first sitting where results would be uncapped.
What I'm wondering is, I vaguely heard that any pieces of work I have received an extension on, I wouldn't be able to resit as a first sit, is that correct?
I understand all universities have their own policies and do work differently, but just wanted to know what the normal practice is when it comes to extensions and resits.
It's just because I can most likely try and complete two courseworks for next friday (meaning one of them will be handed in on time, extension on it no longer being needed), and I'm just wondering whether its worth handing it in on time if it means I may later be allowed an uncapped resit on it if I do need it.
