    Hi

Im leaving for uni in 4 days, and i had only heard about the vaccine thats mandatory for freshers in the past couple of days (my GP hadnt told me, nor had my school) I had to learn from a checklist the university sent me

i went to my gp and they said that they didnt have any appointments tll the 28th so obviously i cant make that

is there any other way I can get the vaccine? Via the uni doctor or maybe even through a pharmacy? i dont want to die during freshers

Which vaccine are you on about?
There's the Meningitis ACWY vaccine that is being given out to sixth form students and first time university students?
Or there's the meningitis C booster vaccine that is being given out to those under the age of 25?

Oh right well I don't think it is mandatory but if you do want it I thought you could only get it from a GP

Just register to a new GP in the city your uni is in (which you should do regardless of whether you want the vaccine) and get it from them.
You'd have to be incredibly unlucky to catch meningitis right before you get the vaccine.
