Just wondering if they actually find out and check with exam boards

Don't lie, just in case they do. I didn't do great in my GCSEs but as long as you have A-C in English and Maths it doesn't really matter for universities.

They can do random checks with your exams boards if they suspect your application or references in any way. Do not lie, don't risk it because you can have your applications disqualified.

All your results need to be stated and they are linked to your UPN [Unique pupil number] so it's easy to check.

Your school/college will check what you write too.

Unis do ask to be shown certificates just like colleges ask for proof. And your uni has absolutely no legal obligation to give you your place if you have lied on your application, even if you achieve your predicted grades. I seriously wouldn't jeopardise your uni place just to make your UCAS application look a little better.

Unis/Ucas dont check existing qualifications. They only receive results of future exams your taking.

If you say so! Different to what unis and people who have started unis have told me! Go ahead, lie on one of the most important applications you'll ever fill out! Just don't blame TSR when your uni rejects you when the find out!
