lack of coordination?

Hi, not really expecting much a response because this is a pretty strange query. I'm quite able at school in all science theoretical work, except for when it gets to something practical like in a science experiment, i am totally rubbish at it, brain just literally freezes...does this have something to do with poor coordination? This is just one example, it has happened at other times not just in science experiments, where i can't really process instructions for something practical. And is there any way of improving 'it', really have no idea what this would be classed as? Thanks

Everyone's brain operates differently. Some people find it easy to learn lots of facts by heart, others pick up languages quickly, others work really practically. Have you considered talking to the SEN teacher at your school? S/he may be able to offer more comprehensive advice.

There's also a chance that this is a confidence issue. You may be suffering from a type of 'stage fright' when you're under time pressure, and you're not entirely sure what to do.

If the problems are with understanding the instructions, it's not obviously a co-ordination issue. If it were a co-ordination issue, you'd be forever spilling the chemicals and so on.

It may be, though, that you're afraid of appearing to have a co-ordination issue and as a consequence, mess up on reading the instructions.

If your school has a SENCO (SEN Co-ordinator) then go and ask if you can speak to them about it, so they can then offer advice on either how to cope with this, or how to go about getting tested and getting help.
