Why are some people telling people that being fat is ok. I know that they don't deserve abuse, but obesity is a problem and it should be rectified not encouraged! If people tell them that it is ok to be fat then they become complacent and it will only cause them problems in the future. It is something they can change, unlike the colour of your skin or etc... So why is society encouraging obesity and not tackling it? They should instead encourage people to loose weight. Also if your wondering, yes I am skinny but I was not always skinny so..

Where is society 'encouraging obesity'? I see that said an awful lot, but have never actually encountered it...

Being fat should he considered okay on the basis that people have sovereignty over their own body. I know it's a deeply unpopular with illiberals who wish to police other people's bodies, but **** them.

Secondly, fat isn't, in and of itself a particularly fantastic individual indicator of poor health. Other lifestyle factors needs to be looked at.

Being fat will never be okay. I guess some people are delusional, too many carbs methinks.

I think it is that they see not treating obese people as second class citizens as encouraging it.
