Archaeology (University Students Wanted), Realistic Job Prospects watch

    • Thread Starter

I am a little unsure of what I want to do at University but I found Archaeology and that looked interesting. My question though is what are the REALISTIC job prospects of actually getting in the field/related. Ie. Working in a Museum and researching.
Is it looked down on compared to doing a History course? and would it be better to do a History Course despite not doing History at A- level.

Archelogy is a good course and depending upon what grade you achive will be just as useful as a history course, but History is considered to be a little harder academically, thus if you can get onto a History course, do that. Look at Durham, York and Exeter for to courses.
