    Hi , Ive just finished my first year doing my apprenticeship and i have also now turned 18.I do 37.5 hours a week on a 3 year course and get paid the NMW of £2.73 per hour.I wanted to know that now that im 18 and in my second year does my pay increase?

    It usually depends on the employer, most places will give you a pay increase if they feel you have gained more skills and knowledge that help you perform your job better but this is dependant on the employer

    BUT!!!

    From october 1st the national minimum wage for apprentices is being increase by 57p to £3.30 regardless so that's a bonus i suppose haha

    Check on the gov's website but my understanding is as a second year apprentice you are entitled to the national minimum wage for your age.
