Hey guys, so I've hit a bit of a worry. I'm thinking of applying to UEA, Aston or Loughborough for Business Management as my kind of 1st or aspirational choice but I don't know if it's a little too aspirational since they all have a minimum requirement of ABB or AAB (Aston).

AS: B(Media) C(Business) D(Economics) E(History). B and C were 4 UMS off the grade above and I've dropped the E while I'll be retaking the D grade modules this year during A2

GCSE: 1 A (English) 6 Bs (Inc Science and English), 3 Cs
    BTEC: 1 D and 1 D*

A2 Predicted: (Not 100% Sure as of yet but from what I can tell and have been told) ABC or BBC

Incase you're wondering, my 4 other choices are Kent (BBB), Portsmouth (280 Points), Keele (300 Points) and maybe Northampton (260 Points), Bath Spa (260 Points) or #Yolo it and go for Coventry (BBB)

    Thanks

If you're aware that it is a long shot then it's worth a try. But don't set your heart on it, and keep your other choices sensible. You'll also need to work hard as if you do get an offer then it will be conditional on achieving the grades - you need to work now rather than finding out in a few months that you did get in and having to cram.

Yeah I'm doing things different this year compared to previous years and its already starting to show. My other choices are pretty set and the 'lowest' im applying to would be Portsmouth (which is 280, a grade or two below my predicted) so I think my other choices are pretty sensible it's just that I think that if theres a possibility of being able to get into a better university then i should take it...

    p.s Thanks for the reply!

Then as long as you've considered the possibility of rejection it will be fine to apply. Just don't set your heart on it, and if you do get rejected don't mess up your other chances by wallowing in self pity and refusing to get out of bed and study for a week
