Exam board using OCR and electronic sending.
Advantages: Allows most handwriting to become much more legible + Quick(and explain)
Disadvantages: May not be able to recognise certain handwriting + sending electronically comprimises security.(and explain)

Backup procedures, basically save to Hard-drive, then copy to floppy, then copy onto school hardrive. Also said she should make to floppy copies as one may get corrupted.

Not so confident on the second question, better get a 2nd opinion.
Wouldn't the OCR simple convert exactly whats on the page on to the screen? In that way, the writing is exactly the same - just appearing on the screen? And in converting it electronically - wouldn't it be time consuming than just sending the papers off just like that?

Wasn't too sure about the back up procedure one - didn't mention floppy disk because it doesn't have enough storage space for an ICT project!

Any other thoughts on these questions?

    USB Flash Disk?

Well I'm not sure I would have thought of that!

What did other people put for this question?

It sounds like you boys did well in it - I came out of Unit 2 last year thinking I had done pretty poorly, kicking myself for a few incorrect answers.. but it seems that alot of people have difficulty with that paper - so my marks were standardised to 77/90.. when my paper blatently wasn't done to a A grade standard!
