I could get moved down a level - I need help! watch

Hey there. I apologize in advance if this is the wrong sub-forum to post this question in.
I recently entered college with 2 A's, 4 B's and 2 C's. My tutor considered these to be good grades and allowed me to study level 3 computer science.

So, my first day in college rolls around and we have to do some admin stuff such as organizing our user accounts and the likes. This is where I mess up - I would go in depth, but I don't want to bore you with some convoluted story.
I basically handed in the incorrect e-mail address to my teacher and took a longer time than most to do my initial maths assessment.

So, these screw-ups, along with my speech impediment, leads my teacher to believe that I'm somewhat 'slow', he tells me that he's considering moving me down to a level 2 course and rejigging my target grades from two distinctions to something lower.

I have no idea how to approach this. I worked my butt off to get into this level 3 course, so I'd really hate to loose it just like this.
On the other hand, my teacher does have a point, I'm not exactly a sponge when it comes to absorbing information, sometimes I just can't comprehend some instructions unless they make absolute sense.

So, does anyone have any idea how to approach this situation? I'm totally freaking out.
