I did AS levels and one was psychology which i got a grade U for. Instead of continuing into year 13 i moved to college to do BTEC level 3 health and social care.
If i get good grades in this course (say, DMM or higher) do you think I could apply to do psychology at uni? Or would they reject me from seeing my AS results? Evem though i heard degree level psychology is different from A level, and many have said you can do psychology at uni if you never did it at A level, so i dont see why i shouldnt be able to providing i get good grades in my BTEC? But im not sure if the fact i got a U will change that?
Thing is when i took my AS levels i didnt try hard at all as i hated my school and A levels and decided to leave well before exams, but if a uni did question why i got a U, do i tell them i didnt try because i knew i was doing a btec instead? Or would that look really bad??!!

They won't necessarily reject you but you should really consider if you can hack a degree in something you failed at AS. It's A LOT harder at undergrad.
