I got a B in my as level biology (AQA), just scraped the grade . The main reason was that I got a C in unit 2 ( which is heavily weighted) and just a B in my EMPA ( the coursework) which brought everything down to a B, however I am retaking unit 2 in order to get an A overall- or at least scrape an A
I really, really want to get an A* overall, however in order to do so I will need to get very high ums (90%) in my A2 exams. Is there any advice from people who got A* in biology A level, even after scraping an A at as level? is it possible to do so?
Is there any advice from people who retook units from as level for bio?
I am desperate to get the A*, and thanks in advance for all replies!

Wow you got the exact same AS biology results as me and I too really want an a* and won't be happy with anything less. I can't fully hell you as I'm in the same year as you but I've decided to retake unit 2. My teacher advised me that it was the best idea as in he a2 year we build apon some of the concepts we did in AS and so we learn and should know it better to help with the unit 2 exam. I also know people that have gone from a C at AS to an A at a-level so it's definitely possible
