As I understand it, the deadline for remarks is 20 September. My school are suppose to be sending in some papers for remarking, but I have not been asked to sign anything yet. My question is what would happen if the school missed the deadline? Any advice? I have tried speaking to the school but I am not getting any information from them.

Hey! If the school doesn't give you any information, then phone the exam board directly. Does your school have paypal or 'ParentPay'? My school's ParentPay lets people pay for their remark and that how they apply for their remark too- check if your school does.

Thanks DuskDragon for your reply. The school have agreed to the remarks. I have offered to pay but they haven't asked for any money from me or asked me to sign anything. I have spoken to the teachers and the exams officer who say it is being done but get the feeling I am annoying them now because I ask so many questions!!! I just wanted to know what would happen if they failed to get the papers in before the deadline - would I be able to do anything about it? (I'm only 1 UMS mark off next grade boundary in 4 GCSEs)

Re-mark requests after the deadline are only accepted in exceptional circumstances and the school just not getting around to it is not one of them.

You've asked for a re-mark and they say they are doing it -whilst the proper procedure is to get your signature it may be that they have taken your nagging as consent and gone ahead and applied already (and it sounds as though they are paying)

There is absolutely no point ringing the exam board as all re-marks for centre candidates have to be done through the centre.
