    Hi everyone ,

I have just Started my Ucas account and am on the verge of starting a personal statement - however , i am in a dilemma on what i want to do as a career or future job - What i do know is i enjoy calculations and numbers - But i did not pick a-level maths unfortunately .

I have found chemical and mechanical engineering of interest with a foundation year - but am really confused if that will have the content i will enjoy?

Also , i enjoy the biochemistry in bio - I like the calculations in the chemistry i have done and i like main concepts like inflation , interest rates , unemployment in economics - But the main thing i like is numbers

Its a lost passion which i want discover but i will want to apply for the right course for it

    please advise?

Wait so what subjects are you taking? Biology, Chemistry Econ? Problem is without Maths you can't apply for Econ at Uni and the Engineering stuff will be difficult (although I imagine they'll teach you the maths in a foundation year?)..I mean you could take a gap year and do A level maths in that year and apply then?

You can apply for economics Foundation year - Just like engineering
I don't ideally want to take a gap year as universities offer foundation years for a reason..

So am just a bit confused? Its like i like numbers and calculations even when i deal with them in my chemistry lessons.

At the moment you seem like the type of person who doesn't really know what you want to do at all ngl.. I mean Econ with foundation year is fine but you've got to be sure that that is what you want to do because as far as I have been told Econ at university is very mathematical
