    And does it matter?

I'm looking into Neuroscience in the interest of carrying it onto Masters and going into research.

Would a degree in Biological Science (Neuroscience) (as it's named at Cardiff) be as well accepted for Neuroscience as just Neuroscience? And is it just naming convention, or does it mean that the Cardiff course is more generalised?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Both would be equally accepted for a masters, but the Cardiff one should start off as a bit more broad (and they allow some students to transfer between biological science degrees)

    Thanks for clearing that up.

If I did decide continuing on to Masters wasn't for me, and that I'd like to get a job just on the BSc, would the Cardiff one give me any trouble with employers thinking it was a bit generalised?

I suppose it would balance out with making it easier to transfer after year 1..

With just a BSc you probably won't end up in a research based job so it won't be a problem.
