I have some AS Business Studies homework, and I have come across a question which I am at a dead end with. I really do not understand this one question. If anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.
"Explain the relationship between [business] mission and [business] objectives'
I know what a mission and objective is... I just cannot explain the relationship between them. I've said that objectives are like stepping stones to reach the mission statement, and that a mission statement is similar to a long-term goal, but again, that's not explaining the relationship between the two.
Again, help would be very much appreciated.

An objective is very much what the business wants to achieve, whilst the mission is what the business outlines. For example: British Airways objective may be to get a profit of £10,000 this year, whilst their mission is to become the head of the airline market. The relationship they share is that each ends with a successful target, making the business more successful. They cannot complete their mission without meeting their objectives. So they share a relationship in a sense of one cannot be efficiently completed without the other.
(Hope this makes sense :/)
