    Link to the spec:http://qualifications.pearson.com/co...3-Eng-Iss3.pdf

Page 10 (my qualification). Page 13 for the 2 year.

So I'm starting a level 3 btec (edexcel) subsidiary 1 year diploma and I decided to look at the specification however I am a bit confused. At my college we do unit 1, 2, 4, 5, 10 and 12 (6 units for 60 credits) however the specification doesn't include these units.

The specification says unit 1 is mandatory ( we do this) and one from unit 5 or 6. ( we do 5). Then 4 units are chosen from a list. However unit 2 (communication for engineer technicians) is not included. But it is included in the 2 year diploma as a mandatory unit (I am not doing nor do I plan to do the 2 year diploma).Surely I am wrong /the college can't be wrong? Help please!
