Their facebook page continues to confuse me....

'All candidates will be offered a place on TSP in strict merit order taking into account stage 3 ranking and location preferences.'

Sooooo....they do need locations to tell us whether we are successful? Then why can people change locations until may? There's always the possibility we just get told if we were successful at ac, but it seems the interns found out locations at the same time....

Moral of the story...Im getting impatient!

I think we're all getting impatient....it's horrible waiting for results when you don't know when to expect them. Sometimes a little bit of information is worse than having none and in this case I think it is as it leads to us trying to second guess the results. fingers crossed for some news this week but doubt it will be on a Monday :-(
New slight update on FB, from 'our aim is to' to "All stage 3 results including feedback will be issued to all candidates by April 11th"

Sounds like they are going to start issuing before then, but that still leaves us in the dark with anytime in the next 3 weeks.
Seems like it will be successful or unsuccessful only this year. The pressure.

"Hello Kelly,All successful candidates will be offered a place on the programme. Whilst we will try to place candidates in their preferred location, there is no guarantee that we will be able to do this for everyone, so some people may receive an offer for a location that was not their preferred option.Thank you." FB post response.
I wonder if that means that not enough people hit the minimum standard to fill all the jobs then? Might explain why they are happy to potentially accept location changes until May? Eek.

I wouldn't think that would be the case. There will be a high percentage of people who have went for London, Manchester, Edin/ Glasgow but maybe not so many for the less popular locations so you could have around 250 making the cut but out of those 100 could have chosen London which would mean a lot of them couldn't be placed unless they were higher up the list.

I feel like they didn't really answer my question!

So if my choices were just Birmingham and Nottingham, I might be 'successful' on the 11th but only offered Bristol?

They said at my AC that you wouldn't be considered for places you've not listed so you could pass the standards but there not be a place for you due to restricted location preference

I agree, it has been left open for debate. Although I think it may well be possible and has happened in the past. I'm a little surprised there will be no reserves this year, they must need more than they 1st thought or less people have passed.

That's what I thought too but now they've said this:

"All successful candidates will be offered a place on the programme. Whilst we will try to place candidates in their preferred location, there is no guarantee that we will be able to do this for everyone, so some people may receive an offer for a location that was not their preferred option.Thank you."

Do they mean some people may get their second choice, or do they mean some people will be offered a place at a random center?
@eddiethered
Yes I believe that is the case. If you are successful at reaching the standard they will go through each person in order of score. Once they reach you they will firstly check Birmingham then Nottingham. If both locations are full you will be added to the reserve list. Once all this is done - if there is places left they will offer these to the top candidates on the reserve list.
If at a later stage a candidate rejects an offer ,for example Birmingham, they will check each candidate below them on the list to see if Birmingham was a more preferred location for them and offer this spot. This will free up their offered location (if they were not on the reserved list) which in turn will be offered to someone else
Hmm weird! I'm not sure how I feel about that. I felt I did OK in the AC some things a lot stronger than others but that makes me worry that the standards are higher than I thought.

Anybody Apply for the Internship I had a reply back yesterday, offering me a provisional offer not in my 1st choice but can't really complain.

I've been offered a provisional place as well. I only put 2 locations and got my second choice

Congrats CW! Did you get your response today?

Good to hear that you internship candidates are getting results, and bodes well for the rest of us
Trying to make heads and tails of this. So basically we will find out if we've been a high enough standard to pass AC by 11th April, only after the placement exercise in 'april/may' will locations be offered, meaning that if you've only got one option you could still end without a job offer? Seems a bit cruel! Altho the interns seem to have found out locations at the same time so who knows...

Thank you! I got the email on Friday and my feedback on the Saturday. I really didn't think id be offered a place as I could only commit to 2 of the 6 locations and there were only 24 spaces over all 6 locations! So I'm very pleased! Hopefully will be good news for you also

Congratulations and well done. You must feel relieved.

Out of interest how many intern applicants went to AC?

Thank you I'm very relieved! Just waiting on the pre employment checks now. I'm not sure they only seemed to know about the number of graduates but at my AC there was only one graduate and the rest were interns. So there were either loads of us or they were getting us out of the way first!

Thank you for your reply.

I think the interns were assessed 1st. Good luck and enjoy.
Any news today?

I got an email on Friday saying I had a provisional offer and on Saturday I had an email for Feedback.

One thing I would mention is that I was convinced I had failed the AC and was the weakest in my team but hey ho I got offered my 2nd choice. btw the Feedback is fairly useful.

Hi Joey, do you mind me asking where you're placed?

I also got a provisional offer, for Birmingham (my first choice!)

Congratulations!
