Basically in Biology I was predicted an A*, I was of course happy but then some people told me that if I dont get this A* I will not get into university even though the course entry requirements are ABB. I want to apply for Aston, but I've heard when they give your conditional offer they change the entry requirements based on your predicted grades and other factor, so my offer could change to A*AA. So im scared that if I get offers from uni's with low entry requirements they may increase the requirements just because I have high predicted grades.

So my question is shall I ask for lower predicted grades?

If the entry requirements are ABB, you won't get an offer higher! I was predicted A*A*A and my offers were all ABB

Universities wouldn't shift their predicted grades upwards. That's barbaric. Regardless of your predicted grades, entry requirements will remain the same. They're not allowed to 'challenge' you in such a way because that doesn't make it fair in regards to other candidates who have applied with lesser predictions.

    Hope this helps.

Thats reassuring thank you, but so many people have told me that they change the requirements upon conditional offers, even my form teacher :/

Ignore them. The only thing that will come from you being predicted an A rather than an A* is you being less likely to get an offer.

Seriously, ignore them. Higher predicted grades will provide you with a higher chance of getting an offer (so please don't lower them!), and your offer would still be the standard offer. Higher predicted grades is literally only a good thing.

It doesn't really matter past the application stage. Once they've given you the offer, it won't matter whether you get A*A*A* or ABB! They wouldn't rescind it!
