I'm taking Economics, Politics, History and Maths. However, next week I'm planning to drop maths;because I really dislike it,and I don't think I'll cope. As a result, I'm considering Geography since it fits in quite nicely with my chosen subjects, and it'll keep my career options broad.

Although, my concern is that if I didn't do it at GCSE, would it really hinder me during my A levels? I also need to check with my sixth-form if they'll allow me...

It will help you greatly if you did do it at GCSE but it is possible to achieve without doing it at GCSE, as many of the topics will be different for people who have done GCSE geography.

At my sixth from, you can't do a-level geography without doing it at gcse. But obvs other schools are allowed. I guess it is important to consider why some schools make such a rule.

But if you enjoy geog and put your mind to do it, then I don't see why you wouldn't pass the a level

    Good luck
