Hi Guys, I'm teaching myself IGCSE Human Biology and hopefully (if i can find a centre to take me) i'll be doing the exam Summer 2016.
It's 15 years since i took my GCSE's but i'm really looking forward to learning something new!
Is anyone else self teaching/distance learning? or anyone studying this at school? or has anyone studied this previously? Would love to have a few people doing the same to turn to when it gets tough!
Thanks in advance

Yes I am but I'm taking the exam in January of next year.
It's been 28 years since I took my GCSE's but I've just completed a degree with the OU so I'm OK with learning things, its just exams that I hate unfortunately. I need the GCSE as I want to be primary teacher so I've got to have a science GCSE and whilst I got 10 other passes from A-C, I failed the Chemistry sadly.
I've bought the green book and I'm just teaching myself. I've written my own revision guide by taking the key points and diagrams etc and turning them into a condensed book and I'm now learning that. I've written off the mock papers too and I'll start going through those shortly. I've looked at the pass grades and the two papers total 180. You need 92 to get a grade C. You may be aiming for higher of course but I just want to pass it without having a melt down.
I live in Devon but as I needed to sit it in January (all the teacher training places said the summer was too late for me) I have found a place in Bristol that is private and will let me sit it there. Its about an hour and half from home but that's doable and I didn't have much choice as nowhere really sits exams in January down here.
Hope it's going well for you
