"Curiosity killed the cat" is a famous saying for a reason.

I've often wondered if that saying refered to an irl cat that died.

I must admit I'm quite curious about how curiosity actually kills cats. Somehow I imagine a cat jumping into a bin because it's curious about what food it can smell, then ends up being crushed to death in the back of a dustbin truck.

    For the squemish, turn around.
    Spoiler:

One time was a liveleak video, I'm rarely phased by them, but I saw a video (I debated within myself for like 5 minutes, but then decided to) where a dog chased after a firework. Firework went through dogs throat, then it was wheezing for like 5 minutes dying, blood pooling around getting bigger.

Also only to find out later that it may have been deliberate, may have, but a possibility nonetheless.
    Others I'm not sharing.

I made a thread a while back saying something like "If you were a cat, how has curiosity killed you?" but no one replied.

I won't say just as famous but certainly just as poetic and good.

    One in above post.

It's also quite sad, in that it can have such a hold on me. Makes me feel sociopathic (though I'm definitely not.)

I get it, not exactly nice to watch :-( but I like curiosity, makes us have new experiences and discover things we never would have before. I guess the bad comes with the good, just like everything else in life m8.
