# P3: How Was It For You? watch

1. I believe I got something like 15x + 14y + 63 = 0

Just seemed a little odd at the time. IS that roughly what you got?

for that question i got a wierd tangent equation where the gradient i got was zero???? strange! i messed that question up and i think i dropped 3 marks on that part of question.

6. that questions was annoying but there was a sneaky trick to it.
Just find the gradient from centre to the point specified. You thats a normal to the tangent. Then u know the gradient of that tangent. The examiners wanted you to implictily diff. But you could do using p1 knowledge.
Kinda takes the piss a bit

or, i think, you could just use the (h,k) method (i hope!) which although not p3 is quite easy...

I wondered why there wasnt any implicit differentiation on it!!

yeh i always used to do that but i learnt this tangent formula the day before for any specific point (h,k) on the circle. i tried using that but i guess it didnt work!

it was like the first time i did and i like panicked after and forgot to do it the way i was taught!

Can you scan in maybe? And the radius of the circle was '13', because it touched the x axis and centre was (x,13).

i got radius beeing as ,/194

even if it was 3, how does that make the radius 9?

I remember it as being 13 too

19. r there curves in alevels and do u think p3 will have a high curve??
