Does anyone know how much Peacocks usually pay?

I have in interview next Satudary, and I'm far too impatient to wait until then.

I live in the south east (of England) by the way.

How old are you? Will probably be minimum wage to start and increase the longer you have been there. I worked in retail up until Sep 06 and had been in my job for a year, I had 3 pay rises in the time that I was there.

I worked there when I was 16 and the pay was £3.52 or something, but it was a really easy (& dull) job :frown:

Oh my gosh! That's barely anything! I'm saving up for a trip in the summer, and it looks like I wouldn't have enough in time even if I didn't go to school!

Unskilled retail - minimum wage most likely, it may rise after a probation period, or it may stay at the same, crappy level for the duration of your employment.

They were advertising here recently it was the minimum wage and about £3.5 for 16-18 y/os

I would have thought it would be a bit higher by now though... and even if it's not, just look at it as experience- I'm on £6ph now, and I wouldn't have got my current job without the Peacocks job behind me :wink:

I think it's 4.25 an hour for under 18's. My friend works there and we earn the same :smile:

I work in a store in Northern Ireland, i only worked in peacocks for a week before i turned 18, my first week i was getting 4.88 per hour, then when i turned 18, my pay went up to £6.09 per hour and im only a Sales Assistant. The pay is really confusing because your like a month behind with overtime

My daughter's is 17 and was getting paid 4.80 an hour. Four hour shift, no break, just been sacked after 6 months with no warning as she does NOT FIT THERE CRITERIA.

Does anyone know how much Peacocks usually pay?
