    can someone help me with this? the question is...

    "if a = bx
    b= ...x = ..."

    then theres a second part which is...
    "If a = 10 and b = 5, x =..."

    does anyone know the answer or just how to do it?!?!

    So what we have here is basically an equation that says what number do I multiply 5 by to get 10. The answer is 2 so x=2. However a more mathematical way of doing this is to say if we have a=bx and b=5 and a=10. We can out these number in place o the a and b.
    So we now have 10=5x
    Now what we do is solve for x so we want to leave x on its own on the right hand side of the equation. So if we divide both sides of the equation by 5
    10/5=2 so the left hand side becomes 2
    And if we divide 5x by 5 we get x.
    So now the equation becomes 2=x
    So x=2.
Is the Big Bang theory correct?
