Im going to keep this brief. My options currently are Maths , Psychology, Sociology and PRE ( philosophy, religion , ethics ). in the future i want something to do with mental health / psychology. yes its vague sorry.

now that we are done with that, my dilemma. my parents are urging me to swap maths for biology saying how it doesn't correlate with my other options. they want me to take biology instead. my friends however are saying maths gives me more options and biology is useless without chemistry/other sciences to pair with.

so here i am asking for you opinion on what i should change. my gcse results were mostly B's (including maths and biology) with 3 A's and no fails.

this is my first post in student room so i apologies if this is in the wrong section

Well, it's not your parents' decision, is it?

Do what you feel most comfortable with! While it's true that Maths gives more options generally, that's only useful if you're undecided on a career or thinking maybe that you'll switch careers a few times. If you're committed to something on the mental health / psychology side then I personally think Biology is a better fit for you.
