Why were these girls so angry?

hey everyone,

I went out with some mates last night and 2 girls came up to my group and we all started dancing together. They brought one of their friends over to dance with me and I said no as I have a girlfriend (I don't, that's just my polite way of rejecting someone- dont mean to sound like a dick at all here). They then proceed to swear at me,and making offensive hand gestures). I was polite as possible when I refused to dance with their friend. One of the girls later then apologised. Just wanna know why they were originally quite angry towards me? Girl logic, I don't know?? But yah will be genuinely interested to hear thoughts

I guess because they were drunk and angry their friend got rejected, they might not have heard you properly when you said you had a girlfriend
