Anxiety

How many of you have anxiety?
What type of anxiety do you have?
Do you have depression?
The biggest contribution to anxiety is shallow breathing, shallow breathing is a stress response. Stress has many detrimental effects on the body including speeding the ageing process.

If you do have anxiety, please ensure you are breathing properly.
For most of you, this may seem obvious as it did to me; though it is often overlooked.

I have OCD, panic disorder and agoraphobia. No, I don't have depression along with my anxiety disorders though I have suffered from mild depression before in the past. Yes, its important to control your breathing in the middle of an anxiety attack as hyperventilating can lead to symptoms such as tight chest and dizziness which will therefore increase your anxiety and cause more symptoms and the cycle goes on. The important thing to stress is that no matter what anxiety you have and no matter how strong any physical or mental feelings it makes you experience, its in no way dangerous, just uncomfortable. That's the thing you really have to remember, especially when you feel anxious.
