Writing my personal statement for Primary school teaching! watch

    I want to be a teacher and am thinking of applying to Stranmillis or Stirling. I just would like some advice on writing my personal statement because I know teaching is highly competitive. So, I have lots of experience and things I do, should I relate them all to teaching? for example i am doing english literature and am apart of the school magazine in school, so should I write about it and mention how I thinking reading is good for children to improve their literacy skills? So it shows I am linking what I do to children and teaching? I would just like some general advice, thanks so much

    Hi, I'm going to stranmillis for primary ed (starting next week). I don't think you should link it like that much into teaching but what skills your exp/activities have given you. For example: if you have a responsibility in school (peer mentor, house captain, subject mentor) talk about what skills you have gained and why they need you in their university! You're basically selling yourself but in a nicely written manner hahah hope my ramble somehow helps!
