Which uni should I apply with these grades (Economics) watch

    • Thread Starter

    Hi guys,

I really want to do economics in the uni, but I got my AS results, and I feel little bit disappointed.

    I got:

    A (293) in maths,
    A(271) in further maths,
    B (154) in economics,
    B(210) in physics
    (unknown in EPQ)

they are not too bad, but B in economics means i am far from top unis now.

I have decided to keep maths, further maths and economics, and my predicted grades are A*A*A

I dont think its really too bad, but after I have seen so many people were doing four A2 but still got rejected, i feel so gutted.

I was going to aim for King's college london (econ & management:A*AA), exeter(AAA), manchester(AAB), surrey(AAA) and loughborough (econ & management, ABB)

However, I know there are quite a few issues with my subject:
    1. lots of unis dont like maths and further maths taking as two out of three A2s
    2. low ums in economics (although I have decided to resit)

so now, i dont know what to do, because I dont think two maths will get me into any good unis, especially to do economics.

(now I have to assume my PS and reference is as good as others. I have got several work experiences with large and small accounting firms)

Can anyone give me some advice on whether I should apply for these unis or which unis I should apply to insure myself to go to uni??

    Thank you
