Hi, I'm a little bit stuck here and am hoping to fins someone with similar experience. Basically my work place offered me to keep working with them while I study but not to have a contract but work as a freelancer which would give me more flexibility and easier for them to pay me. But I am only entitled to a grant and loan if I work part time (EU migrant worker stuff). Now Student finance people were not able give me a proper answer if I can do this. They say if I can get a proof monthly from work that I am being paid it should be ok but this does not sound very convincing to me. If I do this and at the end they find out and are not happy with it I'll be in deep trouble.

So - can I be self-employed and still get this through with student finance?
