I'm currently starting my a levels and have chosen English lit and language (combined course), philosophy & ethics and maths. I'm interested in studying clinical psychology at uni and was wondering if these subjects will be useful. I was thinking of dropping maths to do sociology but have read online that maths is a useful a level to have for psychology so was wondering what would be best for me to do?
    Thanks in advance

Maths is a helpful subject to have; some universities offer lower entry requirements for their Psychology courses if the student has a numerical subject such as mathematics or statistics. It isn't essential by any means though, so do some research in which universities you would consider going to and if their requirements can be met without the maths A Level.

Your other subjects should be fine.

Check the entry requirements of potential courses before considering swapping subjects, just to make sure that you're making a good choice.
