So for AS I got BBBC and I dropped the C. This week my teachers all predicted me a B and refuse to go up at all despite performing quite well during the year and having good attendance/organisation. Whilst other schools round us are all getting 1 grade up of their AS grades for their predicted grades

is there a reason you think you deserve more than a B given that is what you achieved last year? in all honesty there is no point you getting offers you won't hit... it will probably give you a more realistic choice when it comes to what to choose for firm/insurance

I'd imagine if you were a mark off an A in one subject then that teacher might be persuaded, if not you'll just have to accept that it's fair

All your teachers have to go off is your AS grades, and this is also all universities will have to go off!

You have to think realistically, to get that A from a B at AS you have to work very hard and do much better than someone who already got an A and needed an A as well! If your teachers dont think its realistic its not worth it.

We were only predicted the grade up if we were less than 10UMS away from it, and that was at the discression of the teacher!

You can be the most hardworking and organised person ever but you just went and got B's and thats the only factual knowledge your teacher went off!

I personally agree with predictions like this as last year one of my friends got BBBB at AS and ended up begging teachers to predict him AAB, he then got two uni offers of AAB and ABB and missed them both getting BBC at A2!

Remember A2 is much harder and that B at AS is 50% of your final grade, to pull it up to an A you would need to get so many more UMS!

How far away from A's where you in the subjects you got B's in? If it is a low B, then I have to agree with your teachers on this one - no point making inflated predictions, getting high offers and missing them all. I got ABBC btw.

I was 5 UMS off and my Film teacher has agreed to predict me a B but only after she'd got my paper back.

I meant same as in my teachers have said that our predictions will be the same as our AS grades. I got 2 Cs.
You can still get into uni with C's. What was your other grade?

I should've said top unis, and my other grade was good
    Ah right ok haha

That's good then! I got ABC, 7 UMS total off AAB.
