I started at a college in London last Monday but I am quite a shy person and suffer from anxiety so I've found it incredibly hard to feel comfortable there. I know it's somewhere that isn't best for me to continue so I have decided to leave. It doesn't look like I've given it a chance at all and I understand that it'd take me about a month to settle it but I went to college for a fresh start thinking I would easily be able to talk to people and focus constantly. It just isn't for me. I don't get home till late which means my work isn't being done as well as it could be because I am just too tired.
I don't want to completely drop out of college. I do want to study A-Levels and therefore am moving to my secondary school's sixth form where all of the teachers know what I'm like and I have all of my friends there.
What can I expect in moving back? Will there be loads of work to catch up considering I would have missed around two weeks? I had a lot of time off in year 9-11 due to mental health so I am pretty decent with catching up although the work load at a-level is obviously different.
Currently at college I am studying English Language, History: Oppression and Equality, Sociology and Heath and Social Care. I'd like to continue with Sociology and Health and Social. However, the sixth form doesn't offer English Language but does offer Literature? And I am not sure if I want to continue with History as I was, in some ways, extremely encouraged to take it at A-Level by college even though I really didn't want to and ended up dropping it and retaking it. What subjects do you think will go well? My GCSE grades were 1 A*, 5 B's and 1 C with 1 merit.
I am going to be talking to sixth form tomorrow so hopefully I should be let in soon! Haha, sorry for this being so long :B.
Has anyone moved colleges/sixth form? What was your experience?
