    Hi all,

I'm a year 13 student hoping to go into dentistry. Unfortunately my AS results aren't high enough and therefore I feel that I cannot apply for 2016 entry with my predicted grades (BBC). I am, however, retaking some modules from last year.

In the meantime I'm thinking of applying to another course such as biomedical science - would/which universities consider an BBC applicant?

Also, if I don't get any offers this year but I end up getting the grades for dentistry, would it be possible to go through adjustment/receive a deferred entry or would this be unlikely due to the competitiveness of the course?

If not, would taking a gap year and reapply for 2017 entry be a good idea and what would be an ideal thing to do during this time as I don't have anything planned, although I have been considering Phlebotomy.
    Thanks for any advice given

I think a gap year would be good choice, as you will be able to do some more work experience and something quite useful for dentistry in that year that makes you stand out.
