    I appear to have this bulge on my thighs, particularly on the left one.

    If I didn't know any better I would say they look swollen but then I'm not feeling any pain.

    I'm wondering if this bulge is muscle caused by running? I started running earlier in the summer and it's really improved my fitness levels, I'm finally becoming slim and proud again. I'm just curious about this bulge in my thighs though. Never ever in my life have I had that.

    that's called a 'quadricep'
